[She fidgets, glancing over at the doors every time somebody walks through the nearby doors. The suspense of waiting for a boy is so romantic! Hopefully, Alfred would turn out to be just as cool on a date as he was when he was in class. Except more awake.

By the time he arrives, she's begun humming a tune and twirling her purse around.]

[Alfred was late, as usual, but he had a good excuse, really! He'd been getting ready. Alright, it sounded kinda girly, but you couldn't show up on a date looking like a slob, it was rude. But then all the stuff he'd wanted to wear was dirty and he'd had to pull together an outfit that didn't reek and still looked halfway decent. But eventually he showed up.

Spotting Tracy across the restaurant, he gave her a big grin and a wave and headed over to join her at the booth.]

Alfred!

[She waved back with an enthusiasm that some would consider overwhelming, although she'd never doubt that Alfred could handle her.]

Before you even ask, I haven't been waiting too long. I just got here early, really! So, how are you? I mean, besides hungry.

[redwhiteandhero]

I'm great! Ready to get some food!

[gottathinkbigtobebig]

All right, let's get to it!

[She holds out her hand, hoping for help up -- completely unnecessary, but very romantic.]

[redwhiteandhero]

[He blinks at her for a second, but then he gets it, holding his hand out to take hold of hers.]

[She flashes a grin at Alfred and hops up, then proceeds to allow him to just barely lead the way to the counter. Not too much, though -- a girl's gotta use the opportunity to squeeze her boy's hand as much as possible, right?]

So what do you want? I'll pay for yours, alright?

What a sweetheart!

[A beat. She hasn't even thought about food, too excited.]

Well, I usually get a double cheeseburger and fries...

[redwhiteandhero]

Right. [He turns to the boy behind the counter.] Two double cheeseburgers an' an extra large fries for me and my lady, if y'please.

[gottathinkbigtobebig]

[Eee, he said "my lady"!]

You have such good taste!

Well, so do you.

So how's your classes going? I'm kinda shocked I didn't get detention yesterday, I swear Mr. Smith has it out for me.

[redwhiteandhero]

Well y'know, school's school. I swear though, if Ms. Green flunks me I'm gonna flip. She knows I need that grade to stay on the team.

[gottathinkbigtobebig]

That's horrible! Doesn't she even care about things like that, that matter?

[It's not sarcasm; she knows firsthand what it's like to be stopped from your passions.]

It's not like I'm doin' bad. She's just way too harsh.

I might end up havin' to do extra assignments if I don't wanna get cut.

You should do 'em in detention more often, it's the coolest place to be.

...I don't get much homework done there though.

[redwhiteandhero]

I think if I started gettin' enough detentions to do all my homework, it'd defeat the point of doin' the extra work in the first place.

They don't reallycare if you get a lot, y'know. Just threaten a lot and hope we get scared. I think Mama cares more than anybody at school, but I dunno how strict yours is.
