Vidia would fly in whatever weather. As long as their was free time, she'd be out on that pitch, rain or shine. That particularly December Saturday was far from the 'shine' end of the spectrum -- more of a 'horrendous snow storm' sort of day -- but Vidia was headed out with her broom nonetheless, moving through the Great Hall as fast as she could...
Except perhaps being speedy wasn't always as good as Vidia thought, as she made a sharp turn around some students straggling between tables and thwacked someone upside the head with her broom.
Well, she could keep going. It wasn't like she'd hit them with the handle.
"No permanent damage, to be sure." Minerva made a show of brushing off her robes. "But I certainly don't appreciate being hit in the face, either. Were you never taught manners?"
"What?" The petnames were such second-nature that Vidia hardly thought about using them... When she realized what Minerva meant, she shook her head. "I wasn't trying for that."
